HCR Law’s Central England team partners with Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity

HCR Law’s Central England office has named Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity as one of its charities of the year, helping to fund vital care for people with life-limiting illnesses.

The charity supports Cynthia Spencer Hospice to provide specialist hospice care to patients across West Northamptonshire, whether in their homes, its inpatient unit or at its wellbeing centre.

The hospice plays a key role in the community, offering free care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, support for their loved ones and guidance to help people live every moment.

This year, Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity needs to raise over £2.2m to fund its services – a figure that equates to £6,052 per day. Funds raised by HCR’s Central England office will help ensure the hospice’s care remains accessible and free of charge.

The team kicks off its fundraising efforts with the Cycle4Cynthia charity bike ride on 21 September 2025, taking on distances ranging from five to 70 miles and supporting fellow riders at the HCR-sponsored pit stop.

Throughout the year, the Central England office will continue to raise money through several initiatives – from quiz nights, volunteering days and Christmas-themed fundraisers, to grabbing their glowsticks for the charity’s sponsored Twilight Walk in May 2026.

Dominic Hopkins, Joint Head of the Central England office, said: “Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides extraordinary care in West Northamptonshire and we’re committed to helping them continue that crucial work.

“We’re honoured to support them as they help local patients and families through the most difficult times and look forward to strengthening our ties with the community through this exciting charity partnership.”

Nina Gandy, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser Lead at Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity, said: “We are delighted to be working with HCR Law as a charity partner over the coming months.

“As a business, they have already been a huge support through fundraising, sponsorship and taking part in our events. However, this has now transformed into a partnership, which is significant. Working closer together will not only benefit our patients, families and the services we provide within the hospice but also show the Northampton business community the benefits of working with a local charity, which is valuable for all involved.”
